Rules, Rewards, and Consequences

Classroom Rules (taken from wholebrainteaching.com)

1)  Follow directions quickly.

 2)  Raise your hand for permission to speak.

 3)  Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.

 4) Make smart choices.

5) Keep your dear teacher happy.

Diamond Rule...Keep your eyes on the target.

During the first week of school, we will review classroom procedures to help us follow these rules. Our class mission statement is…All working together to become our very best!

We are using Class Dojo to keep record of our behavior in class. Both parents and students can access their Class Dojo reports with passwords sent home at the beginning of the year.

Rewards – As students accumulate Dojo points, they will move up on our Superhero Wall. They receive a small prize each time they move up to a new level.

Consequences – When students receive 4 negative Class Dojo points in one day, they will be marked as a yellow light. When students receive 6 negative Class Dojo points, they will be marked as a red light. Homework folders/behavior color for the day should be signed each night. Yellow and red lights may result in time outs at recess, time outs in another classroom, or parent contacts.
